A horse-drawn wagon transports visitors across the Mullet River to the historic core of the site where authentically costumed interpreters\, muscle power and waterpower bring to life the work of the blacksmith and sawyer. Guests will also tour the 27-room Stagecoach Hotel\, which once served weary travelers along the Plank Road.  \n\n\n\nWhat You’ll Experience    \n\n\n\n\nA unique way for homeschooled and non-traditional students to explore 1800s horse-powered history \n\n\n\nInteractive experiences including model carriage building \n\n\n\nHorse-drawn wagon transport through the Wade House grounds  \n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nCost \n\n\n\nStudent (Grades K-2): $6  \n\n\n\nStudent (Grades 3-5): $6 Student (Grades 6-8): $6 Student (Grades 9-12): $6 Student (Preschool): $3 Student (Infant/Toddler): $FreeAdult (18-64): $11 Senior (65+): $11  \n\n\n\nAdvance registration required.  \n\n\n\nSociety members receive a 10% discount\, please verify your membership where prompted to receive discount at check out. \n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nAbout the Location \n\n\n\nWade House Stagecoach Inn was constructed conveniently between the cities of Fond du Lac and Sheboygan\, along a well-used stagecoach trail. Each region features a distinct set of stories that invite you to experience the hopes and dreams of those who came before us. From the 1840s to the 1940s\, you’ll find a true panorama of early Wisconsin history\, covering more than 70 years and many cultures\, including African American\, Danish\, Finnish\, Hessian\, Irish\, Norwegian\, Polish\, Pomeranian and Yankee. \n\n\n\nOld World Wisconsin first opened in 1976. Researchers traveled throughout Wisconsin in search of historic buildings crafted by the first generation of Wisconsin immigrants and migrants. From Lake Superior to the Illinois border\, and from the Mississippi River to Lake Michigan\, historians documented countless historic farmhouses\, outbuildings and small-town structures. Once research was complete\, the meticulous construction of Old World Wisconsin began. Piece by piece\, workers carefully dismantled historic structures from around the state and reconstructed them in their new home. \n\n\n\nOld World Wisconsin W372 S9727 Hwy 67 Eagle\, WI 53119  \n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nKnow Before You Go \n\n\n\n\nTickets for Homeschool Days are limited to 20 per group. Every member of the group must be present when checking-in. All strollers and wagons must be folded up before loading them onto trams. Loading and unloading strollers may result in delayed tram service. Strollers and wagons must be left outside of our historic structures. Often doorways may prevent access\, and once inside the size of the wagon or stroller may become a barrier in the event of an emergency.\n\n\n\nFood service is available onsite. Guests are also welcome to bring food onsite and eat it at any picnic area.\n\n\n\nOld World Wisconsin grounds remain open rain or shine. Programs are subject to change based on availability and weather conditions.\n\n\n\nOld World Wisconsin is located within the Kettle Moraine State Forest. The site features gravel roads\, rough and hilly terrain\, and encompasses over 400 acres of publicly accessible woodlands. Our staff recommends dressing in layers and choosing sturdy footwear. Motorized trams make scheduled stops around the site throughout the day and rides are included with admission.\n\n\n\nOnsite vehicle parking is available for FREE at Old World Wisconsin. The parking lot can accommodate large vehicles\, RVs\, and buses.\n\n\n\nAdmission is valid for a single day\, and guests may exit and re-enter during the day of their visit.\n\n\n\nModern restrooms\, changing rooms\, and water fountains are available on site.\n\n\n\nNo pets are allowed.\n\n\n\nBecause of the historic nature of the buildings\, not all areas are ADA accessible. Old World Wisconsin first opened in 1976.
